PaaS for SaaS: Extend and Integrate your Cloud Applications-Knex Technology, bkhan@knextech.com Oracle’s Platform as a Service (PaaS) provides two powerful capabilities to Oracle Software as a Service (SaaS) i.e., Cloud Applications users. Using PaaS4SaaS, Oracle Cloud Applications can be extended to include new functionality. PaaS4SaaS is also used to integrate Cloud Applications with other Cloud or On Premise Applications. Migrating to and co-existing with Oracle ERP Cloud from Oracle eBusiness Suite by Diby Mukherjee, OSI Consulting. dmukherjee@osius.com More and more organizations are moving their IT investments to the cloud by implementing native cloud applications using the SaaS model. Oracle has an extensive and strong cloud ERP suite fully supporting Financials and Supply Chain functions for most organizations. While the benefits of the SaaS model are obvious, IT organizations do have questions and concerns around migrating to and implementing cloud applications. Many of these questions are around integration, data conversion, security and customization of the Cloud ERP modules.
Our session attempts to cover some of these topics and answer questions around available tools, methodologies and best practices for implementing, integrating and operating Oracle Cloud ERP modules.

Abstract: There’s a lot of buzz, activity and hype around Oracle’s Cloud ERP and the question foremost in every EBS user’s mind is – How does the Cloud ERP product compare to EBS? This question is even more relevant for the supply chain modules (inventory, manufacturing, order management & planning) as these have become available only in the latest release (Rel 11). The session will attempt to cover topics related to these modules in Oracle Cloud ERP and answer the following questions –
• Which SCM modules are currently available in Cloud ERP Rel 11?
• In the available modules, what are the differences with EBS

o Security model
o Implementation considerations

Business has to make the right decisions from time to time for the success of the project, so that the business objective and return on investment are well achieved. Through this paper I will highlight top ten issues and mistakes that a client may face during the implementation from advent to the end of the project. Making a poor decision or looking at only the short term goals may cost time, money and resources. Most of the EPM implementation fails due to lack of key decisions and management support.

See how forms were designed to prevent users from making errors using validation rules, @RETURN and user variables. Forms also allowed users to input aliases and attributes for campaigns. Processes were automated to load from SAP, create Internal Order codes, generate accruals, create JE’s, support DR and load data to the global PBCS application.
